Sales information

The MG B was the first MG (Morris Garage) built of unitary construction bodywork. The MG B GT V8 was built between 1973 and 1976. In 1970, Ken Costello, a garage owner, installed a Rover 3500 V8 engine in an MG B. MG took over the idea, though engine capacity of the Rover V8 in the MG did not produce 180 hp. at 5500 rpm. but 140 hp. at 5000 rpm.
Influenced by the American rules on safety, later models were equipped with synthetic rubber bumpers.
Many of the later, built from 1974 until 1976, "rubber-bumper" models are now converted into "chrome-bumper" models. The car shown in these pictures is a original chrome bumper car fitted with the original MG B GT V8 rims.

MG MGB GT V8, year 1974 (first registration 1975). Colour damask red with a black fabric/leatherette interior. This original chrome bumper MGB GT V8 was extensively restored by a specialist in Great Britain in the recent past. This MGB GT V8 was sold to the current owner by us in the year 2010. Then the car was converted to Left Hand Drive in our workshop. The automobile is in superb (excellent+) condition! A photo reportage of the restoration is present as is a description of the restoration. All invoices are at hand (restoration/overhaul over 20.000 GBP), LHD conversion and service.
During restoration/overhaul the engine was modified to run on lead free petrol, a Rover SD 1 cylinder head was fitted. Also a 'faster' camshaft was fitted as were MG RV8 manifolds. Also the suspension was slightly modified, at the rear parabolic leaf springs were fitted. Further more this MGB GT V8 is fitted with a Stainless Steel sports exhaust, sports air filters, Mallory electronic ignition and a leather trimmed steering wheel. The MGB GT V8 is one of our favorite classics, this specimen drives absolutely fantastic, is very fast and it sounds very impressive! MGB GT V8 are scarce and in this near perfect condition very hard to find. This is your chance to buy a near perfect LHD converted MGB GT V8!
